In the below project we were instructed to make a blind contour drawing in response to a music being played and to use this as a starting point for a sculpture. the main idea was an exploration into the medium but having a solid idea with which to begin made starting a lot easier. Once photographing the sculpture the shadows laid base for another drawing beginning what could have been a long iterative process of movement between two and three dimensional making. This process could be used to develop an understanding of form and the many ways to represent it. Also it highlights a reflective process and the many different outcomes that can develop from a simple idea like scribbling with eyes closed whilst listening to music.
