Inspiration as an Artist Teacher
The role as an “artist teacher” encompasses the teacher to reveal and embrace their artist identity in the classroom. This encompasses joining in activities, discussion of practice and sharing inspiration. My fine art training is in the medium of painting, and I have a strong interest in following a specific group painters coinde in the ‘post graffiti’ movment. This is a pintrest board of painters that really inspire me, resources like this allow me as a teacher to discuss art I am passionate about and introduce students to current practicing artists and fresh new artworks. Pintrest boards are also a good way to encourage collection of inspiration and research in a folio.
